Shuttle Driver v3 Build 37 (Mac OS X 10.8+, 32 & 64bit) - Latest, Yosemite (OS 10.10) & El Capitan (OS 10.11) Compatible - Updated settings for Adobe Creative Suite CC 2015 and others. Voice to text software free for mac. Contour design shuttlexpress driver 2 21 for mac free download - FlashMedia SD Driver TI 7x21 2.0.0.0.zip, Mac OS X Server Update, iMac Firmware Update, and many more programs. It's a puzzling situation though as we also have another Mac here (a newish Mac Pro) recently updated with a new install of Mojave that has a Shuttle Pro v2 connected that works as expected and is perfectly usable. I will hang on to my new ShuttleXpress in the hope that the issue is sorted sooner rather than later. Our Shuttle Driver can detect which application is currently active and will automatically switch to the corresponding shortcut profile. This is a great feature for those projects that require the use of multiple apps simultaneously. The Pro and Xpress We offer two different Shuttle products.

Longtime Shuttle user here.. various units on numerous Macs.
Anyway got myself new MacBookPro (Mojave preinstalled) and bought a shiny new ShuttleXpress to go with it. But what a disappointment.. as with many Mac users on this forum the Shuttle fails to connect with the Contour app (toolbar bar greyed out) and after days of uninstalling (and manually deleting all traces of Contour files) then reinstalling the various versions of the app (3.0.39, 3.1, 3.2 beta) I still cannot get my ShuttleXpress working in any meaningful way, well apart from basic scrolling. I've tried all the System tips and tricks and variations listed elsewhere here but to no avail. It's basically useless.
Contour isn't a small company and I assumed (wrongly) that hooking up a new Shuttle would just work. They should at least warn potential buyers about this issue (in BOLD type on the website) because I was unaware until I tried to install the app and use my new Shuttle - but what a waste of time that was. I don't want to but I guess I'll have to consider returning the unit and start looking for an alternative solution. That is unless Contour or any other users can offer some new tips?
Apologies if this comes across as a rant - it's just frustration.

Hi Chriscarter,
Sorry, you are experiencing this issue. This issue is primarily with any device that accesses the MacOS kernel. On our end there isn't much we can do until Apple makes the necessary changes. I'm not sure if you saw this link http://forums.contourdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7998&start=20 or not. This issue started with the new security parameters introduced with High Sierra.
Also just to clarify, we are actually a pretty small company. We have less than 20 people working in our US office, and maybe about 20 people in Europe. We have done everything we can in working with Apple regarding this issue and they are aware it's something they need to fix. All we can do for now is work with what they have given us until this point and make updates as they release updates.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you and everyone else.
Best regards,
Angel

Thanks for the speedy response.. I appreciate that - and apologies for my assumption that Contour were some kind of mega corp.

Hi chriscarter,
No worries. For some users with older operating systems, updating to Mojave or High Sierra do not experience this issue. It seems like any program installed on an older operating system is 'grandfathered' into the new security parameters. For example, if you have El Capitan and update to High Sierra, you will probably not need to reinstall the driver and it will work seamlessly. Hopefully, Apple will come up with a solution soon, it's tough having to deal with this as you can tell.
Best regards,
Angel

Okay, I got Mojave to recognize the Shuttle Pro following these steps:
-Unplug the Shuttlepro and uninstall the drivers
-Install the latest driver and restart as required by the install
-Go to System Preferences/Security and Privacy/Privacy and check Contour Shuttle in the options in the Accessibility window
-Navigate to the General tab under the same Security and Privacy window
-Click on the option to allow Contour to control your Mac
-Restart
After I did that my buttons started working. I hope that helps you too.

I followed this steps but cannot find the 'option to allow Countour to control your Mac', only general password and downloading options, nothing specific to any application.
Maybe I didn´t uninstall the driver correctly? how can I do that properly.
Thank you very much in advance.

I followed these instructions and it's totally borked my Mac. Final restart after enabling the contour shuttle extension in preferences never completed.. now can't boot my Mac normally or in safe mode. Currently in recovery mode checking my disc.
This is NOT SAFE to use yet.
Pretty cross right now.

Contour Shuttlexpress Driver

Free portrait editing software for mac. This short blog post is going to show you how you can use your Contour ShuttleXpress controller to control and operate Power Prompter.

The setup process is simple and once performed the controller will work with Power Prompter requiring no additional steps.

1. Setting up the ShuttleXpress

First we need to download the macOS driver package for the ShuttleXpress. If you have set up the ShuttleXPress to work with macOS you can skip this part. Otherwise go to Contour's driver download page and download the macOS driver package.

The download page can be found under https://www.contourdesign.com/support/software/. On the page click on the 'Shuttle Drivers' tab and click on the macOS download link. Please also read through Contour's macOS notes as they are important fro the driver installation under macOS 10.13 and up.

Once the download finishes run the driver installation and reboot your Mac.

2. Adding Power Prompter to the ShuttleXpress software

Mac
Contour shuttlepro driver

Now we're going to create a Power Prompter profile in the Contour software. To do this first start the control software from the Applications folder (/Applications/Contour Shuttle.app).

Contour Shuttlepro Driver

In the Contour app select the 'ShuttleXpress' tab from the toolbar (if you're using a different USB controller select the tab for your model here). Now go to the lower left corner of the control app and click the Plus (+) button and select Power Prompter.app from your Applications list.

3. Configuring the ShuttleXpress Power Prompter profile

Back in the Contour app find the Power Prompter entry in the side bar and select it. (It's under the User category).

Now we need to assign key strokes to the Shuttle's physical buttons. You can freely assign the buttons like you want but we found that assigning the buttons to [Control] + [1 … 7] doesn't conflict with any system shortcuts and allows Power Prompter to react to control events even when the teleprompter window doesn't have keyboard focus. See the screenshot below for a sample configuration which turns out to work pretty well.

4. Configuring Power Prompter keybindings

Now switch to Power Prompter and go to the preferences panel (Power Prompter -> Preferences… menu item) and select the 'Shortcuts' tab. There mirror your Contour mapping. (Click a 'not assigned' button and once it lights up just press the button you want to map to this action on your Shuttle. If you don't get a response quit and restart Power Prompter to notify the Contour software to change the profile).

The screenshot below shows how the setup should look like in Power Prompter.

Once you've performed these steps you can use your ShuttleXpress to control Power Prompter. You might want to check the 'Invert scroll wheel direction in teleprompter window' setting under the 'General' tab of Power Prompter preferences if the scrolling behavior of the ShuttleXpress is confusing to you. (The ShuttleXpress has a strange interaction with macOS natural scrolling settings which can be confusing while using the jog wheel for speed/position adjustments).

5. Using the ShuttleXpress to control Power Prompter

If you followed our recommendation to use CTRL+[Number] for the shortcuts then using the ShuttleXpress with Power Prompter is trivial: Just press the button mapped to the action you want to perform and Power Prompter will react to it.

If you have set up key shortcuts that don't contain the CTRL or OPTION modifier keys then the Shuttle will only work when a teleprompter window has keyboard focus (is the active window). Without those modifier keys Power Prompter can't know if the key press is a control signal or just plain normal text input for the text editor.
